Institutions — Performance & Responsiveness Improvements
This release includes several enhancements designed to improve responsiveness across sysadmin pages and dashboard widgets, particularly for larger tenants.
Usage Data Now Loads On Demand in Sysadmin
The Usage tab on the sysadmin page now loads data only when requested.
Administrators can:
- Select a date range
- Click Load to retrieve usage data
- View a loading spinner while results are processed
Previously, usage data was processed automatically whenever the page opened, which could delay page responsiveness.
Faster Loading for the System Admin Workspace Page
The Workspaces table in sysadmin now becomes available immediately after project metadata loads, without waiting for document counts to be calculated.
Additional changes include:
- A new Load document counts button next to Export
- A confirmation prompt before loading counts
- A progress bar during processing
- Document count sorting becomes available once counts are loaded
- The document count column displays “-” until values are available
This improves initial page responsiveness, especially in larger environments.
Improved System Admin Responsiveness for Large Tenants
When the on-demand sysadmin usage setting is enabled, the following sysadmin pages now become responsive significantly faster on large tenants:
- Workspaces
- Templates
- Users
These tables now typically render within approximately one second, rather than remaining unresponsive while background processing completes. This enhancement is currently controlled by the same feature flag used for on-demand usage data.
Relativity date-field mapping enhancement
Date metadata imported from Relativity now maps correctly to Platform Date fields.
Previously, when a Relativity date field (for example, Master Date) used a format that did not match Platform’s default assumptions, the value could fail to parse. In these cases, the corresponding Platform Date field was left empty, even though the metadata was present in Relativity.
This behaviour has been improved. The integration now passes each date field’s configured format pattern and timezone to the Platform. A new date parser uses this information to correctly interpret and populate Date fields.
As part of this update:
- Relativity integrations now include each date field’s format pattern and timezone
- The Platform date parser honours the configured format and timezone when writing values
- Source mapping tooltips are now available for Relativity date settings in workspace admin
This change removes the need for the previous workaround of importing date values into a short text field and manually converting them.
Fixed: Relativity date metadata (for example, Master Date) now populates mapped Platform Date fields correctly. Dates that previously imported as empty—despite appearing correctly in Relativity—now map as expected.
Upcoming features
Customisable Table of Contents for Bundles (collections)️ - Preview release
We are introducing a new Table of Contents editor designed to give you greater flexibility in creating court-compliant indexes across key jurisdictions. The updated experience will be more intuitive and easier to use, with real-time preview capabilities. You will be able to set up a table of contents with flexible formatting and layout options, including font type, font size, headings, and section headings, a choice of unified or section-level tables, and control over column layout and visibility.
Stamps - Preview release
Based on customer feedback, we are investing in a new, modernised Stamps experience to provide an improved way to create, manage, and export stamps. The new Stamps feature will introduce, among other things:
- A more flexible and intuitive stamp builder, enabling you to create and customise stamps with concatenated fields easily, and helping you to design consistent, tailored stamps.
- Real-time preview to make stamp setup clearer and more predictable.
- Consistent stamp application and removal across documents, collections, and proxy documents, including the ability to remove a specific stamp, not just “remove all”.
- Metadata fields remain supported (as in Legacy Stamps), with more focused styling controls to prioritise consistent output between the platform and exports.
- Enhanced Stamp controls with the ability to adjust and rotate stamps on individual pages, giving the user precise control over how stamps appear throughout a document.
Search
We're improving our Search functionality to deliver faster, more accurate, and more reliable results.
These updates seek to:
- Return results more quickly and with greater accuracy.
- Provide clearer, more consistent highlighting so results are easier to understand and trust.
- Enable us to detect and resolve issues earlier through improved monitoring.
AI for Hearings
Opus 2 is aiming to deliver real-time inconsistency checking on live transcriptions in multi-party hearings. In this setting, a workspace contains all the documents compiled by a case team, and the objective is to use this knowledge base to generate real-time insights from the live transcription.
