Administrators can reset a user’s password by setting a temporary password for them.
It is not possible for a user to reset their own password, this must be done by an administrator.
- From system admin page, open Users tab
- Select the user whose password must reset
3. Click on Actions button
4. From the drop down list, select Set temporary password
5. In the dialogue box that appears set the new password
Once the temporary password has been set, the administrator needs to inform the user of their new password, either in person or sending a separate email. No automated email is generated in this scenario.
The steps are identical for a user with Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) enabled. However, during their first login, they will be prompted to set up a new MFA configuration.
