The Bulk Add filter feature allows users to efficiently apply filters using a large number of text values, reducing manual entry time when filtering records such as documents by IDs or other text fields.

When working with large datasets, users may need to filter records by many text values at once (for example, a long list of Document IDs). The Bulk add option streamlines this process by allowing multiple values to be entered either manually or via a CSV upload.

The Bulk add text values dialog supports validation through a Check matches option, ensuring that entered values correspond to existing records before applying the filter.

Add Multiple Values Using Bulk Add (Manual Entry)

  1. Select Add filter and create a filter on a text field.
    • In this example, select the Document ID field.
  2. In the filter dropdown, select Bulk add to open the Bulk add text values dialog.
  3. In the Values box, enter the values you want to filter by.
    • Separate each value using a new line or a comma.
  4. Click Check matches to confirm that the entered values match existing records.
  5. Click Add to apply the values to the filter.

Example:
Paste a list of Document IDs copied from an email or spreadsheet to quickly filter the document list.

Add Multiple Values Using a CSV File

  1. Select Add filter and create a filter on a text field (for example, Document ID).
  2. From the filter dropdown, select Bulk add to open the Bulk add text values dialog.
  3. In the Upload CSV section, select Browse and choose the CSV file containing the values.

The spreadsheet must be saved as a .csv file for it to be recognised.

  1. Once uploaded, the values will appear in the Values box, separated by commas.
  2. Use Check matches to validate the values against existing records.
  3. Click Add to apply the filter.

Example:
Upload a CSV export of document identifiers received from third‑party counsel to instantly filter matching documents.

Use the Bulk add filter option whenever working with large lists of text values to save time, reduce manual effort, and ensure accurate filtering across your project data.
