The Opus 2 platform allows for both exporting and importing of document and file metadata via csv or spreadsheet. Document and file metadata are exported together in one export package.
Prerequisites
To export document or file metadata, the user must have the Exports documents capability.
The metadata can be exported in two ways - as a spreadsheet or .csv (comma separated values) file.
- Go to the Documents page.
- Select the associated folder.
- To choose your desired metadata fields:
- Select the double column icon next to the Upload button.
- Select the checkboxes to add or remove metadata columns from the export.
c. Click away from the dialogue box to apply the changes.
- Select the checkboxes to select the document(s).
- Select the Export dropdown menu.
- Select the Metadata as a spreadsheet (xlsx) option.
- The document downloads to your computer's local Downloads folder.
- The document is presented in an Excel sheet, as seen in the image.
To export as a CSV, follow steps 1-5. For step 6, select Metadata as a plain text (csv) as the export option.
