How to edit Designation Type and Objection Basis options

Explains how System Administrators can add, edit, or delete Designation Type and Objection Basis options by editing the Designations worksheet.

Designation Types and Objection Basis values are controlled through the Designations worksheet configuration. Users with System Administrator permissions can manage these options to ensure they align with project or organisational requirements.

Both Designation Types and Objection Basis values are configured as choice fields within the worksheet. Changes made here immediately affect the options available when users create or edit designations.

Accessing the Designations worksheet configuration

1. Navigate to the Designations worksheet.
2. Select Edit from the dropdown menu.
3. Choose Edit Worksheet. 
4. In the Edit Worksheet dialog, open the Fields tab.

Editing Designation Types

1. In the Fields list, select Designation Type. 
2. Under the Options section:
   • Click + Add to create a new Designation Type.
   • Enter the desired option name.
   • Assign a colour to the option.
3. Click Save. 

Additional actions:

• Edit an existing Designation Type by clicking directly into its text field.
• Change the colour using the colour dropdown.
• Delete a Designation Type by clicking the X icon.
• Click Save after any changes.

Editing Objection Basis options

1. In the Fields list, select Objection Basis. 
2. Under the Options section:
   • Click + Add.
   • Enter the new Objection Basis value.
3. Click Save.

Additional actions:

• Edit existing values by clicking into the text field.
• Delete values using the X icon.
• Click Save after completing changes.
