Opus 2 Single document analysis enables you to do the following:

  • Perform real-time analysis on single documents or transcripts via the documents details pane or in the document/transcript viewers.
  • Query a single document or transcript for information.
  • Obtain summaries of different lengths from a documents or transcript.
  • See contextual evidence for AI results.
  • Add extracted information (entities) to worksheets.
Note: If you want to extract any of the entities that have been found during the analysis into one of your worksheets, such as the Characters or Chronology worksheets, this must be done from the transcript viewer.

In addition to all of the document analysis capabilities listed above, Opus 2 AI Analysis can also analyse a transcript in three different ways: Inconsistent Testimony, Sentiment Analysis, and Lines of Inquiry.

Inconsistent Testimony

Analysing a transcript for inconsistent testimony lists areas of the testimony where the witness may have provided inconsistencies. This analysis also attempts to spot areas that may need further analysis. The results are returned to the user in a numbered list with relevant page numbers listed. Selecting the page number opens the transcript on that page with the relevant text highlighted.

Sentiment Analysis

The sentiment analysis tool attempts to spot strong emotions in the deponent. When analysing a transcript, results are returned with an initial definition of what is understood by the term 'sentiment analysis'. The AI Analysis tool identifies strong emotions, such as fear, anger, and anxiety, in the responses provided by the witness. Results are provided as a list of responses by the witness that show strong emotions in the testimony and the topics or questions that elicited these strong emotions.

Lines of inquiry

The lines of inquiry tool suggests questions that could be posed to the witnesses to help clarify the points they have made, with specific focus on areas where they may have been evasive, or where their evidence could be incomplete or contradictory.

Results of this analysis are returned as a numbered list with a description of the incomplete or contradictory testimony and suggested questions that could be asked of the witness to clarify further. Relevant page numbers are listed under each result. Selecting the page number opens the transcript on that page with the relevant text highlighted.
