The Single Card portal component allows users to share a specific record from a worksheet with portal users, displaying the information in a single, structured card format.

The Single Card component is designed for highlighting one specific record from a worksheet, such as a key procedural step, important milestone, or summary entry. Instead of displaying multiple records, this component focuses on a single entry and presents it using a predefined card layout.

The data displayed is controlled by selecting a source worksheet, a specific record, and a card configuration created in the Worksheet Editor. Sorting options help determine how records are evaluated when applicable.

Step 1: Prepare Worksheet and Card

Before configuring the Single Card component, ensure that:

  1. The relevant worksheet has been created in the project.
  2. At least one card view has been configured in the Worksheet Editor.

Important:
A worksheet is required, and cards must be created before they can be selected for display.

Example:
Create a worksheet named “Case Overview” with a card that summarizes key case details.

Step 2: Add a Single Card Component

  1. Open the Portal Builder.
  2. Add the Single Card component to the desired portal page.
  3. Open the Properties tab to configure the component.

Step 3: Configure Single Card Properties

Configure the following options:

OptionExplanation
HeadingHeader text for the Single Card component (maximum 100 characters).
Content source worksheetRequired. Select the worksheet where the record is stored.
RecordChoose the specific record to share with portal users.
CardSelect the card view used to present the record.

OrderSet the order as A–Z or Z–A.

Example:

Step 4: Portal User View

When displayed to portal users:

  • The heading appears at the top of the component
  • A single card is shown, representing the selected record
  • The card layout follows the design defined in the Worksheet Editor

Only the chosen record is visible, making this component ideal for emphasis or summary information.

Example:
Portal users clearly see the most important upcoming step without needing to browse multiple records.
