The Opus 2 AI assist feature can analyze transcripts in three different ways: Inconsistent Testimony, Sentiment Analysis, and Lines of Inquiry.
Inconsistent Testimony
Analyzing a transcript for inconsistent testimony lists areas of the testimony that look likely to be areas where the witness may have provided inconsistencies. This analysis also attempts to spot areas that may need further analysis. The results are returned to the user in a numbered list with relevant page numbers listed. Clicking on the page number will open the transcript on that page with the relevant text highlighted.
Sentiment Analysis
The sentiment analysis tool attempts to spot strong emotions in the deponent. When analyzing a transcript, results will be returned with an initial definition of what is understood by the term 'sentiment analysis'. The AI assist tool will identify different emotions provided in the responses provided by the witness. It will look for strong emotions such as fear, anger and anxiety.
Results are provided as a list of responses by the witness that show strong emotions in the testimony and the topics or questions that elicited these strong emotions.
Lines of inquiry
The lines of inquiry tool suggests questions that could be posed to the witnesses to help clarify the points they have made with specific focus on areas where they may have been evasive of where their evidence could be incomplete or contradictory.
Results of this analysis are returned as a numbered list with a description of the incomplete or contradictory testimony and suggested questions that could be asked of the witness to clarify further. Relevant page numbers are listed under each result. Clicking on the page number will open the transcript on that page with the relevant text highlighted.
