Improvements
AI Workbench (GA-config)
Opus 2's existing Single document analysis feature has now been joined by the AI Workbench - a tool designed to save time by enabling users to view and work with a batch of documents or transcripts. AI Workbench provides users with one location to find and filter through multiple documents, view the summaries, key sentences, characters, organisations, and events within the Platform that the AI has found as part of its analysis.
The high-level workflow is as follows:
- Populate a canvas with documents.
- When the tool has completed its analysis, sort documents and transcripts according to relevancy to build the case.
- Add entities to worksheets.
Users can also query across multiple documents and use prompts or commands to extract information.

While this AI release is GA, we recognise that AI models, especially in complex legal workflows, can still product imperfect results. We are committed to ongoing refinement and see this as just the beginning. Your feedback is invaluable in shaping how these features evolve. If you are willing to share your experience, what's working well and where improvements could help, our Product team would love to hear from you. Together, we can continue to co-build AI features that genuinely enhance your day-to-day work. Contact us at Opus 2 Platform Support.
Copy Folder and Collection structures (GA) ▶️
To save time, you can copy the entire structure of a collection or all or part of a folder structure. The copied structure includes all the settings but no documents. Select the 3-dot kebab menu alongside the collection/folder structure that you wish to copy. Select Copy structure.
Note: For collections, the entire tree structure is copied, whereas with folders, you can opt to copy only a sub-folder.

Apply Custom ID value per page (GA-config) ▶️
When creating bundles for court, you may have court mandated requirements for page numbering that must be adhered to. One requirement may be that for each page in a bundle, there has to be a unique Bates number assigned. By setting up a custom id field you can now reserve values for a range of pages in a document or add values to stamps.
When creating a new metadata field, there is a new Apply per page configuration option for Custom ID field.

Solution upgrades (Phase 1) (NA)
Our development team is currently working hard to improve upgrade processes for both clients and Opus 2 staff.
Previously, when changes were required for client templates and projects, our internal teams had to manually update each template and project with the new changes. This required significant resource, as well as it being slow for clients, so a new method needed to be found. Several improvements have been added for Phase 1 to allow for easier identification of templates and template versions. Also, locking of projects during the upgrade process to prevent users accessing the project Rollback functionality if problems occur. This work is ongoing.
