New Features
New export dialog for documents, transcripts, and collections (GA)
The export dialog has been overhauled to simplify the process of selecting settings when exporting documents or transcripts from a project. Users can now work through tabs on the left hand side of the dialog to choose a category of settings that they want to customise. With this, a number of additional options have been included in the export settings which are detailed in the improvements section below.
Other Improvements
Search query builder is now enabled on projects by default (GA)
The new search query builder which previously had to be toggled on by an operator is now active by default. There is now an option at the project level to toggle back to the classic search if required.
Export annotated pages only (GA)
When exporting there is now to option for the export to include only the annotated pages. This can be toggled from the Annotations tab of the new export dialog.
Export dialog review tab (GA)
The export dialog now has a review tab which allows users to review all settings and parameters that they have set for the current export.
ZIP format export improvements (GA)
When exporting in ZIP format, the system has now been scaled to enable ZIP exports up to a total size of 22GB, up from 3.7GB in the 8.13 release.
Worksheet dates can be displayed in other timezone formats (GA)
When applying dates on worksheet entries, users can now select what time zone to display the dates in. This works for Date worksheet fields and Derived fields that target Document metadata fields. When viewing dates in a worksheet, users can now choose to display the date as 'As entered', 'Local timezone' or 'Universal timezone' in the column header.
Worksheet filter options for Multiple Document field (GA)
Users can now filter worksheet records by targeting metadata in a Multiple Document field.
Worksheets can include a new field to show the ACL status of each record (GA - config)
There is now a new Calculated worksheet field called Access which indicates the type of access each worksheet record has. Users can also now filter on the new Access field.
Worksheet bulk edit option can now be used to append values (GA)
Users using the bulk edit option within worksheets can now choose to append fields such as text or tags, retaining the information already included in the selected fields, rather than overwriting.
Transcript viewer option to hide annotation bubbles (GA - feature)
Users can now toggle whether to show the annotation bubbles on the Transcript viewer which relate the highlighted passage to the corresponding note or designation card. This is especially useful when annotation bubbles are obscuring the text. The 'Show annotation labels' toggle is found within the three dots menu in the transcript viewer, and when disabled, all annotations bubbles are removed except for the annotation that is selected.
Existing Designations sync to updated page numbers (GA - feature)
When a transcript's page numbering has been updated, any existing designations on the transcript are updated to reflect the new page numbering.
Bugfixes
- Bulk apply metadata - Document type specific fields are available when selected documents do not contain the document type
- Unsupported .vid file uploaded with LEF transcripts
