When exporting files from the Opus2 system, there are multiple options available. Exporting or downloading native files is a great way to get documents in their original file formats (.docx, .xlsx, .txt, etc.) and save them to share with other parties. This guide will show you how to download and export native files individually, or in bulk.
Downloading a document
- In the Documents tab, hover over the document to download and right-click.
- Select Download followed by one of these two options:
- Download as PDF
- Download media (appears if hovering over a media file)
You see a message stating Your document download has been requested.
Your document download is located in the default folder set in your browser. Check the help for your browser to find out how to change this download location.
Tip: Alternatively, select a document by selecting its checkbox, select the Actions menu. Select a download option.
Downloading a native file
You can download a file in its original format from the Files worksheet.
- In the Files worksheet, select a file by selecting the checkbox alongside the file.
- Select Actions > Download or right-click on the file and select Download.
Your download file is located in the default folder set in your browser. Check the help for your browser to find out how to change this download location.
You can also download a file in its original format from the Documents tab by selecting one of three methods:
- From the Actions tool.
- From the right-click context menu.
- From the View panel.

- Select the Download original option.

- In the Documents worksheet, select a file by selecting the checkbox alongside the file.
- With the View tab selected in the Document Viewer, click the
icon, just above the document preview itself.
- Select the Download original option.
