Release types

  • (GA) - The feature is Generally Available and visible in the product to users (depending on their role).  
  • (GA – config) - The feature is Generally Available, but templates and existing projects must be configured before it can be put to use.
  • (GA – feature) - The feature is Generally Available, but only if switched on by an Opus 2 operator. Only some solutions are expected to use the feature. Commercial add-ons will also come under this category and will only be enabled for clients who have purchased them.
  • (GA – feature and config) – The feature is Generally Available but only if switched on by an Opus 2 operator. Only some solutions are expected to use the feature. Once switched on, it will require configuration of the template and existing projects before the feature can be used.

Improvements

Search report documents now listed by their Principle ID (GA)

When using the Search page, results appearing in the report table will now be listed by their Principle ID rather than the Filename so that users can more easily identify the documents. The Docx style export will also now list the document's Principle ID, replacing the Filename used previously. If the Principle ID has been deleted from the project, then the system will revert back to using the Filename to identify the documents


Permanently deleting a document from Trash also deletes associated file on the Files page (GA)▶️

After deleting a document from the Documents page, when users proceed into the Trash page and select 'Permanently delete' from within the Actions drop-down menu, the document is deleted entirely from the system (including the from the Files page). There are checks in place to prevent deletion of original files if additional versions still exist on the project.


Media playback speed adjustment (GA)▶️
The media player now has the option to adjust the playback speed. Users can select from 0.5x, 1x, 1.5x, 2x, and 2.5x to adjust how fast the media is played.


Shortcut icons added to the Transcript Viewer to toggle certain annotation types off/on (GA-feature)▶️
Within the Transcript Viewer, users can now toggle different annotation types off and on using icons at the top of the annotations panel on the right. This is additional functionality rather than replacing the existing options found in the Sources drop-down of the right panel. 


Transcript Viewer now includes actions menu (GA-feature)▶️

The 3 dots menu within the Transcript Viewer has been restructured and updated to include additional actions that are relative to working with a transcript which can now be found from the actions sub-menu. This includes Add to worksheet, Add to collection, Set access, Download original, and Download pdf.


Option to include a name for media clip exports (GA-feature)▶️

When exporting media clips, users can now edit the name of the export file before choosing to export. In the updated clip export dialog, the export name field prepopulates with the date and time the clip export was created.


Option to export media clips separately in a Zip file (GA-feature)▶️

When selecting multiple media clips to export, users now have the additional option to export the clips as individual files contained within a zip file. Each clip is named to indicate its sequence number and the total number of clips i.e. 'ExportTitle_clip_1_of_3.mp4'.


Video conversion status now shown in the upload progress dialogue (GA)

When uploading a video either as a standalone file or as part of a transcript upload, users can now view the correct status information from the Upload history and Files page. The status column on the Documents page and status on the media player is also better reflective of the upload progress.


Improvements to how image rich documents are ingested (GA)

Previously documents would be split into 100 page chunks when being ingested which was effective for mostly text-based documents. However, image rich documents would fail to load as the amount of data was too great for the chunk size that they were split into. Now the system will calculate a more ideal chunk size based off the size of the document, so that the document is split into chunks of around 5mb and between 1 and 100 pages.


Saved export templates can now be updated (GA)▶️

Existing export templates can now be modified to stay up to date with new export requirements without needing to create a new template from scratch. When a user selects an existing template, makes changes to the export settings, and then goes to save the template from the Review tab of the export dialogue, the system now presents the option to overwrite the selected template with the new settings.


Improvements made to the Related content table of contents option within the Export documents dialogue (GA)▶️

When in the Export documents dialogue in the Related content tab, the Related content table of contents option now allows users to remove the Related documents and Relationship type fields that previously were mandatory.


Improvements made to the main table of contents option within the Export documents dialogue (GA)

Previously the main table of contents would force the inclusion of the pages column. This is now optional allowing users to remove this if necessary.


Improvements to the table of contents options within the Export documents dialogue (GA)

Users can now export their files with the Related table of contents option without having to include the main table of contents option included. Previously, the main table of contents option would have to be selected in order to select the Related table of contents option.


Improvements to exporting worksheets using the Docx option (GA)▶️

When exporting a worksheet with remote records or sub records as a Docx file, the export will now include clickable hyperlinks that will open the document or worksheet entity in the platform when selected.


Improvements to exporting large individual files (GA)

The limit for individual document exports has now been increased to support individual files up to 1GB.


Option to manage choice field options when editing or creating a record (GA - config)▶️

Users who want to change or add new values to a choice field can now do so from within the record form itself as long as they have the Manage worksheets capability enabled for their role. There is a new option to 'Allow editing options from record form' within the choice field settings on the Edit Worksheet dialog. When this is enabled, users will see a 'Manage options' button next to the choice field drop-down from within the record form. This will bring up a dialogue where they can manage the options within the form rather than having to do so from the Edit worksheet dialogue.


Text in a document field within worksheets now includes option to target the full document (GA)▶️

When selecting to add text in a document as a source to a worksheet record, the dialogue now has additional options to either link to the whole document or to a specific page.


Update to the Actions menu within the Documents page (GA)▶️

The Actions drop-down menu within the Documents page now shows all options at the top level, grouped into the relevant sections. The Actions menu that appears when you right-click on a document now includes all actions listed in the main Actions menu.


Height and width options now available for stamps (GA)▶️

When creating a stamp there are now new height and width options that allow full control over the shape and size of the stamp. This replaces the previous aspect ratio option. Existing stamps will have the height and width values to match the previous aspect ratio values.


Bugfixes

  • Save button is hidden on small screens when editing the Details page within a Document.
  • Designation Range when importing records is incorrect when 'Include word values' is not selected.
  • Notifications - project metadata choice field resolves to the choice ID and not the choice value when added to notification.
  • Notifications - when using a variable for a currency field using "project default" the currency code is not included.
  • Request to create new project fails when the template includes forced acceptance of "Terms & Conditions"
  • Document metadata edits made in the document viewer are overwritten when tags are applied via the tag button
  • Links stop displaying in document viewer for projects with 5000+ links
  • Text replaced in PPTX files containing unreadable fonts
  • Non-admin users unable to apply ACL to groups
  • Save button unavailable for small screens when editing document metadata from the document viewer
